This treat is between a pudding and a stew. I think it was originally Thai, but I'm not sure.
| 3 | cup Beans, Black Turtle Soup, Mature Seeds - Cooked, Boiled, Without Salt |
| 3/4 | cup sugar |
| 13 1/2 | oz. Coconut Milk, Canned (Liquid Expressed From Grated Meat And Water) |
| 1/2 | teaspoon salt |
- To get three cups of cooked beans I soaked and boiled 1 cup of dried frijoles negros - a small black turtle type bean.
- Bring sugar, coconut milk, and salt to a boil over medium high heat until mixture begins to thicken, stirring.
- Add rinsed beans, and cook at a high simmer/low boil for at least 5 minutes.
- Cool, and serve.
- I think the actual serving weight is smaller then the one listed, due to reduction of liquids.
