Alison Burts Everyday Biscuits

Makes 16 servings

Plain biscuits.

Ingredients
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 oz sugar
2 oz margarine
4 oz plain flour
1/2 egg
Directions
  1. Mix the dry ingredients, then add the egg. Beat. Knead a little in the bowl, then wrap in greaseproof paper and put in the fridge for 1 hour. Roll out with rolling pin, and cut out shapes with biscuit cutter on a lightly floured surface. Place on a greased baking tray and bake in over (180C) for 10-15 mins, or until golden brown. Leave to cool.
