Ten-Minute Scallops Recipe

Makes 4 servings


Watch scallops carefully, because in seconds the broiler can take them from golden to brown to burned. Need to add a binding agent like 1/4 cup of butter, or 2 tbsp of honey dijon dressing.

Ingredients
1/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp minced garlic
1 lb scallops
1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
  1. Preheat the boiler.

  2. Coat a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the binding agent, bread crumbs, parsley, oregano, and garlic.

  4. Sprinkle the scallops with pepper and place on the baking sheet.

  5. Spoon the bread crumb mixture evenly over the scallops and broil for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the scallops are cooked through.
