Popcorn Rice Recipe

Makes 4 servings


Yummy Lebanese rice from my Grandma.

Ingredients
1/4 cup macaroni
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup white rice
2 cups water
Directions
  1. Sauté the macaroni in oil in saucepan until golden brown. Careful they burn easily. Macaroni should be orzo pasta or a spaghetti broken into small pieces (like rice)

  2. Add rice and sauté for a minute.

  3. Add water and salt to taste.

  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook covered for 20 minutes.
