Pound cake

Makes 20 servings

Makes two small loaves or 1 large.

Ingredients
2 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup applesauce
2 eggs
1 cup milk
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Sift dry ingredients together.

  3. Crean sugar and applesauce.

  4. Add vanilla.

  5. Seperate eggs. Whip egg whites untill stiff. Beat egg yolks and add to sugar mixture.

  6. Add dry mixture to wet mixture a third at a time alternating with milk.

  7. Fold in egg whites and turn into well greased pan(s).

  8. Bake 30 - 40 minutes.
