Skillet-grilled cheese sandwich with chili inside
| 2 | slices whole wheat bread |
| 1 | tablespoons unsalted butter |
| 3 | ounces chili |
| 1 | slice low-fat cheese |
- In a small skillet, melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter on med-low heat. Place 1 slice of bread in the melted butter and slide around to cover bread with butter. Spread chili over unbuttered side of the bread in the skillet. Add slice of cheese and cover with the other slice of bread.
- While the buttered side browns, slice the remaining butter into slivers and place on top of the slice of bread facing up. When side one is browned, flip sandwich with spatula and brown the 2nd side. Cut in half, serve hot.
- Note: if the chili has been refrigerated, you will want to warm it up in advance in microwave or pan.
