JD's Favorite Chili

Makes 12 servings

Chili Con Carne

Ingredients
32 oz canned red kidney beans, drained
28 oz canned tomatoes, whole
2 lb ground turkey, lean
2 medium onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cumin
Directions
  1. Drain canned beans. You may use 1/2 lb dry pinto/kidney beans SOFTENED.

  2. Chop tomatoes.

  3. Brown meat in a skillet, pour off fat.

  4. Place all ingredients in 4 quart Slow-Cooker in order listed.

  5. Stir once.

  6. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. (High: 5 to 6 hours)
