Light flakey biscuits made with butter
| 1/2 | cup butter |
| 2 | cups shredded cheddar cheese |
| 1/4 | tsp salt |
| 1/8 | tsp cayenne |
| 1 1/4 | cups all purpose flour |
- beat the butter until soft and smooth
- beat in cheese
- mix spices with flour
- add flour gradually to butter and cheese mixture
- Turn out half onto a sheet of waxed paper
- roll into a cylander approximately 1" in diameter
- repeat with other half of dough
- chill for 1/2 hour in fridge
- cut into 1/4" slices onto lightly greased pan
- bake in 350 oven for 10-13 minutes.
