Cheese Biscuits Recipe

Makes 6 servings


Light flakey biscuits made with butter

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cayenne
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
Directions
  1. beat the butter until soft and smooth

  2. beat in cheese

  3. mix spices with flour

  4. add flour gradually to butter and cheese mixture

  5. Turn out half onto a sheet of waxed paper

  6. roll into a cylander approximately 1" in diameter

  7. repeat with other half of dough

  8. chill for 1/2 hour in fridge

  9. cut into 1/4" slices onto lightly greased pan

  10. bake in 350 oven for 10-13 minutes.
