pilau rice, great with indian curries
| 1 | cup basmati rice |
| 2 | cups water |
| 1 | tsp oil |
| 1/2 | tsp cumin, ground |
| 1 | tsp cardamom |
| 1/4 | tsp cinnamon, ground |
| 3 | cloves garlic |
| 1 | tsp salt |
- Rinse the rice at least twice
- in the oile, fry the garlic, cumin, cinnamon and contents of two cardamom pods.
- add the rice and stir for about a minute to coat the rice
- pour in the water and bring to the boil
- cover with a lid, turn down the hear to low and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes.
