pizza dough
| 3 1/2 | cups flour |
| 1 | tablespoon olive oil |
| 1 | pinch of salt |
| 1 1/2 | cups water |
| 1 | tablespoon active dry yeast |
- Dissolve 1 tablespoon active dry yeast into 1 1/2 cups warm water.
- Let yeast/water mixture sit for about 5 minutes until bubbles form.
- Put flour in a large bowl or on a working surface and make a well in the middle.
- Pour yeast/water mixture in and work it into the flour until a dough is formed.
- Work in the olive oil and salt.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle lightly with flour and knead until the dough is no longer sticking to your hands.
- Make an "x" in the dough with a knife and rub the dough with a little bit of olive oil. This will prevent it from cracking.
- Rub olive oil in a bowl. Place the dough into the bowl and cover with a cloth. Dough will need about 1-2 hours to rise to double it's size.
