Bean Burger Recipe

Makes 1 serving


I've also used pinto beans and it tastes great either way. This is just a basic recipe. Experiment by adding spices o topping with lettuce, tomato.....etc

Ingredients
1/2 cups kidney beans, mashed
1 tbsp bread crumbs
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 pita or bun
Directions
  1. Mash beans with either a fork or potato masher

  2. Stir beans, bread crumbs, ketchup, mustard and spices together.

  3. Heat skillet to medium and spray with Pam or similar product.

  4. Form mixture into patty and fry on both sides to golden brown.

  5. Place in pita and top with favorite toppings!
