| 1 1/2 | cups apricot and orange nectar (14327) or unsweetened orange juice |
| 2 | tbsp golden raisins (9297) |
| 1 | tbsp (low-calorie) margarine spread (4109) |
| 550 | g (about 4) peeled Granny Smith or other crisp dessert apple (9004) |
| 1 | tbsp cornstarch |
- Bring fruit juices, raisins and margarine to a boil.
- Halve, peel and core apples. Lower them carefully into juice mixture and simmer gently for 7-10 minutes or until soft but not mushy.
- Mix cornstarch with a little cold water to make a paste.
- Transfer apples to a serving dish, cut side down.
- Stir the cornstarch mixture into the juice and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Pour over apples and chill before serving.
