American Chop Suey Recipe

Chinese favorite

Ingredients
1 lb pork tenderloin, cubed
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup celery, cut diagonally
5 oz. water chestnuts, undrained
28 oz. bean sprouts
5 oz. bamboo shoots
14 oz. mushrooms
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Directions
  1. Brown meat in a large skillet or wok. Add onions and celery. Saute 2-3 minutes. Add all ingredients to the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

  2. Mix cornstarch in a small amount of water and stir into the sauce and continue stirring until thickened.

  3. Serve with rice, lo mein noodles, chow mein noodles, or rice noodles.
