Ingredients
| 2 |
cups all-purpose flour |
| 2 |
tbsp sugar |
| 2 |
tsp baking powder |
| 1/4 |
tsp baking soda |
| 1/4 |
tsp salt |
| 4 |
tbsp butter |
| 200 |
g silhouette yogurt |
| 1/2 |
cup icing sugar |
| 2 |
tbsp milk |
Directions
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Use pastry cutter to add in the COLD butter, until mixture resembles course crumbs.
- Mix in yogurt. At this point, you may also wish to add some of your favorite berries to make these scones even better (i.e. blueberries, raspberries, strawberries).
- Knead dough on lightly floured surface, into a rectangular shape.
- Fold dough into thirds (like a letter) and then press dough into a 9-inch round pan to get a perfectly round shape.
- Cut dough into 8 wedges. Place these wedges on a baking sheet (lined with parchement paper).
- Bake in the oven at 350C for 15 minutes.
- Whisk together icing sugar and milk, ratio may be altered to suit your desired icing consistency.
- Drizzle icing on scones while they are still warm.
- Cool scones on a wire rack and serve.
