Spicy Tuna Cakes Recipe

3 1/2 oz tuna bell pepper small onion From eDiets. fine bread crumbs, fresh cilantro egg white cayenne pepper plum tomato fresh lemon juice olive oil, cvt

Ingredients
3 1/2 oz tuna
1/2 bell pepper
1/2 small onion
3 tbsp. breadcrumbs, fine
1 tbsp. fresh cilantro
1 egg white
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
50 g (one) plum tomato (80401)
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. olive oil
Directions
  1. Drain and flake the tuna into a mixing bowl.

  2. Rinse and chop the pepper, onion and tomato. Beat egg white.

  3. Mix all ingredients except tomato and oil and shape the mixture into one or two patties, depending on desired size. Cover and refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes.

  4. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium high heat and cook patty (patties) for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve topped with chopped tomato.
