Soda Bread - 8 Servings Recipe

Makes 8 servings


Great texture

Ingredients
2 cups flour, all purpose
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup currants
1 tbsp caraway seeds
6 oz yogurt, plain nofat
1 tbsp milk, skim
Directions
  1. mix first 4 ingredients together

  2. cut in canola oil until crumbly

  3. add rest and knead slightly in the bowl

  4. put in greased round soufle dish

  5. cut a cross into the top

  6. Brush top with skim milk

  7. bake 40 - 50 (45 works well) minutes at 375
