Banana Porridge with Honey Recipe

Oats are rich in soluble fibre - excellent for improving digestion and lowering blood cholesterol - as well as magnesium and zinc. They provide slow-release energy to sustain your energy levels through the morning. The almonds and seeds provide essential fats to help balance hormone levels and promote healthy-looking skin.

Ingredients
175 g rolled oats
250 ml soy milk
250 ml water
1 tbsp flax seed oil
4 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp almonds
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 bananas
1 tbsp honey
Directions
  1. Mix the oats, milk, and water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  2. Stir in the flaxseed oil, raisins, almonds, and seeds.

  3. Spoon into bowls and serve topped with the sliced bananas and honey.
