Crisp/tender asparagus spears with roasted garlic cloves

Ingredients

pound asparagus spears |
| 2 |
tbs olive oil |
| 1/4 |
tsp salt |
| 1/4 |
tsp pepper |
| 8 |
cloves garlic |
Directions
- Toss the asparagus spears and whole garlic cloves with olive oil until coated.
- Toss with salt & pepper and arrange on a baking sheet, not touching, garlic cloves at one end, separate from the asparagus
- Preheat oven to 350 and roast for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the garlic is begining to turn golden and soft
- Mash the garlic and toss with the asparagus before serving.
