a spicy, healthy, vegetarian soup!!
| 2 1/4 | cups split peas |
| 1 | teaspoon oil (chilli oil actually!!) |
| 1 | clove garlic, finely chopped |
| 1/2 | medium onion, diced |
| 8 1/2 | cups water |
- in a large pot sautee onions and garlic in the chilli oil
- add water and split peas
- let simmer for approx 45 minutes, stirring occasionally to make sure peas don't stick to the bottom of the pot!!
- strain peas...or not! its up to you, good either way...
