Shepard's Pie with Yam Mash - hearty british food!
| 320 | g lamb, minced |
| 1 | carrot, diced |
| 1 | onion, sliced |
| 2 | cups yam, cubed |
| 1 | tbsp flour |
| 1 | pt stock |
- Fry the onion until lightly brown
- Add mince and fry until brown
- Add carrot and fry for 3 mins
- Add stock and simmer gently
- Sprinkle over flour and reduce for 20 mins.
- Meanwhile, boil the yam for 20 mins, or until soft.
- When the mince is done, spoon into baking dish. Mash yam to smooth puree and gently top the mince with the mashed yam.
- Bake in oven at 180 degrees C until yam has browned on the top.
