Pears Poached in Port Recipe

Ingredients
4 pears
2 cups port wine
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
  1. peel, core and cut pears into quarters

  2. place in saucepan with other ingredients

  3. simmer til soft

  4. remove fruit from saucepan and further reduce liquid til it is syrupy

  5. serve hot or cold
