Overnight Oatmeal

Makes 6 servings

This heart healthy oatmeal cooks over night in the slow cooker.

Ingredients
1 cup steel cut oats
4 cups water
1 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup Raisins
1/4 cup raw almonds
3 tsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Butter
4 tsp cinnamon
2 oz soy protein
1/3 cup ground flax seed
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except for almonds and raisins in the slow cooker

  2. Set slow cooker to cook on low for 8 hours

  3. Add Raisins and Almonds and stir until well mixed

  4. Divide up into servings, can be saved and reheated for a weeks worth of breakfast.
