Delicious. Make ahead, refrigerate, divide into 4 portions and you have an excellent breakfast for 4 days - just reheat in the microwave and add a little milk if desired. For variety, top with fresh fruit.
| 2 | cups skim milk |
| 1 1/2 | cups water |
| 3/4 | tsp cinnamon |
| 1/2 | tsp salt |
| 1 1/2 | cups cereal, Rogers Old Fashioned Large Flake Oats |
| 1/4 | cup wheat germ |
| 1/4 | cup almonds, chopped, toasted |
| 2 | tbsp Splenda |
- In large pot, bring milk, water, cinnamon and salt to boil. Sirt in oats and wheat germ and return to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring, for about 8 minutes or till thickened.
- Stir in almonds and Spenda (or other sugar substitute if preferred)
