Turkey Broth, Homemade Recipe

Makes 45 servings

Homemade Turkey Broth made from leftover turkey bones (body, wings, legs, etc). For this recipe we actually used the leftovers from 3 bodies. (We froze them til we were ready to make the stock.) You can add seasonings as desired. I didn't - we add them to the individual recipes that the stock/broth is used in, later. 1 serving = 1 cup.

Ingredients
2 lbs turkey, bones only
45 cups water
2 stalks celery
1 stick carrot
1 medium yellow onion
Directions
  1. Put turkey bones into large stockpot.

  2. Add celery, carrot and onion (all cut up in half).

  3. Put 45 cups of water into large stockpot.

  4. Let simmer for several hours, checking occassionally.

  5. When done, let cool.

  6. Put into containers and freeze until needed.
