Gran's Apple Crisp Recipe

Delicious and Cholesterol Free

Ingredients
4 large apples
1/4 cup soy margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oats
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions
  1. Grease glass baking dish with margarine (lightly).

  2. Cut apples into slices and layer half into baking dish.

  3. Dap with a bit of margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon.

  4. Layer remaining apples, leaving enough space for a layer of "crisp".

  5. To make crisp: Melt Margarine and mix with Brown sugar, oats and flour. The more margarine you use, the harder the "crisp" will be. BEST: use just enough melted margarine to dampen the sugar/oats/flour mixture.

  6. Spread an even layer of crisp ontop of the apples - level with top of baking dish.

  7. Bake at 350c - for 35-40 minutes (based on a 9x9 pan).
