Cheddar Turkey Burgers Recipe

Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey breast
1/4 c bread crumbs
1 T stone ground mustard
1/8 t thyme
1/8 t sage
1/4 c shredded cheddar
1 red onion
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
1 medium tomato, sliced
4 lettuce leaves
Directions
  1. in med bowl, combine turkey, bread crumbs, mustard, thyme, and sage; mix well. Form into 4 balls. Make an indentation in center of each ball; stuff with 1/4 of cheddar. Close indentation by pressing turkey around it to seal in cheddar. Form into patties.

  2. Preheat grill or broiler. Coat Onions and burgers with nostick spray; grill or broil for 5 to 7 min; til golden. Remove onions. Turn and cook burgers for 5 min longer, til no longer pink near the center. Place on buns with onions, tomatoes, and lettuce.
