Red Wine Marinara Sauce Recipe

Red Wine Marinara Sauce with lots of vegetables.

Ingredients
28 oz can diced tomatoes
6 oz tomato paste
3/4 cup red wine
1 cup chopped onion
4 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 zucchini, diced
1 medium carrot, diced
10 mushrooms, sliced
2 teaspoons basil
1 teaspoons oregano
3 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
  1. Saute onion, garlic, mushrooms, carrot and zucchini in olive oil.

  2. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes or until thickened.
