lightened version of custard
| 1/4 | cup sugar |
| 2 | tablespoons cornstarch |
| 1/8 | teaspoon salt |
| 1 3/4 | cups fat-free milk |
| 3 | egg yolks, slightly beaten |
| 1 | teaspoon vanilla |
| 4 | cups fresh blackberries,(such as raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and/or halved strawberries) |
- combine sugar cornstarch salt milk in saucepan stirring over medium heat slowly add egg yolks add vanilla once mixture is starting to thicken
- divide fresh berries among 4 bowls
- let sauce cool slightly then pour mixture over berries
- let each chill for a couple of hours
- enjoy
