Mum's way of making rice, I hate it

Ingredients
2 cups rice
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cups water
Directions
  1. pour rice in saucepan

  2. Coat with vegetable oil

  3. Add enough water to cover

  4. Cook until all water evaporates
