This recipe can be prepared the traditional way, on a sizzler pan, add the meat and the vegetables to the red-hot pan and then add the sauce to make it sizzle, or you can make it in a wok and just cook it up. Good either way.
| 1 | lb steak |
| 1/4 | cup water, combined with |
| 1/4 | tsp. bicarbonate of soda |
| 3 | onions, quartered |
| 1 | Red pepper, sliced |
| 1 | yellow pepper, sliced |
| 1 | green peppers, sliced |
| 1/4 | cup Worcestershire sauce |
| 1/2 | cup tomatoes, sieved |
| 1/4 | cup red wine |
- Pour the water and bicarbonate of soda mixture over steak, leave for 1 hour, drain well.
- Spray a wok with spray oil. Fry the steak until well browned. Remove from pan.
- Add quartered onions and peppers, cook 2 mins.
- Return meat to pan, cook 1 min.
- Combine the Worcestershire sauce, passata (sieved tomatoes) and wine in a small pan, stir until sauce boils and reduce heat.
- Pour sauce onto steak and vegetables and serve with boiled rice
