Asian Black Bean Sauce Recipe

Cooking Light - serve with asian noodle dishes.

Ingredients
15 ounce black beans, undrained
1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tsp gingerroot, peeled and grated
1/2 tsp orange zest
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 20 minutes.

  2. Yield: 1 2/3 cups (serving size is about 1/3 cup.
