Yeah, there's no dieting involved here! lol! But it's a great traditional Lb Cake; needed to make it for a Swiss Dish Night, where I made chocolate fondue. :)

Ingredients
| 1/2 |
cup Unsalted Butter |
| 3 1/2 |
cups Sugar |
| 3 |
cups Flour |
| 6 |
Eggs |
| 1 |
cup low-fat Buttermilk |
| 1 |
tsp Baking Soda |
| 1/2 |
tsp Salt |
| 2 |
tbs Vanilla |
| 1 |
tbs Orange Zest |
Directions
- Melt Butter; Cool it to room temp
- Integrate Sugar one cup at a time. (I processed my sugar into almost powdered... it's better that way)
- Integrate Eggs one at a time.
- Mix in Vanilla
- Mix sifted flour, baking soda, and salt in separate bowl.
- Integrate slowly into the batter & Alternate 1 Cup of flour, and 1/3 cup Buttermilk until it's all well & mixed. :) Lastly add the Orange/Lemon Zest
- Throw in 1-2 pans (springform, bundt, or 2 loaf pans, whatever you like) & Bake at 350 for a crumbly top for 90 mins; Bake at 325 for 90 mins for a dense white cake.
