Stewed Beef and Tomato on Spaghetti

Makes 4 servings

A simple Beef and Tomato stew with Pasta.

Ingredients
450 g stewing beef
100 g red kidney beans
1 onion
5 g garlic
1 tspn oregano
1 tspn black pepper
450 g chopped tomatos
2 tbspn tomato puree
10 ml Olive Oil
150 ml red wine
150 ml beef stock
600 g spaghetti
Directions
  1. *Pre-prepare the beans as per instructions.*

  2. Put the beef (in bite sized pieces) into a pan with the oil and fry until browned.

  3. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic and fry for a further 5 mins.

  4. Add the wine and seasoning and cook for a further 5 mins.

  5. add the tomatos and puree, bring to the boil and simmer - stiring constantly.

  6. Mix in the beans and transfer to a ovenproof dish, cover and bake for 45 mins at 190c.

  7. Prepare the pasta as per instructions and serve with the chunky sauce.
