Sourdough Bread-Home Made

Makes 16 servings

The best and easy recipe ever!

Ingredients
3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1 3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons cornmeal
Directions
  1. Whisk together flour, yeast, and salt in a extra large mixing bowl.

  2. Add water until combined.

  3. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and allow to sit at room temp for 19 hours.

  4. After 19 hours, turn dough out onto lightly floured work surface.

  5. Punch down and gently turn dough over onto itself a couple of times.

  6. Cover with towel and let rest for 15 minutes, shape dough into a ball.

  7. Place dough on cookie sheet sprinkled with cornmeal. Add cornmeal to top of dough.

  8. Cover with towel and let rise about 3-4 hours.

  9. preheat oven to 350 degrees when dough has doubled the size and bake 35-40 minutes until dark golden brown.
