Favorite Steak Stirfry

Submitted by karloopy

Makes 3 servings

This is a really yummy, very easy stir fry. Our favorite really. This would also be great with chicken or pork and with noodles instead of rice. Great for leftovers. You can substitute any vegetables you like, great with all of them, peppers, broccoli, onions, mushrooms etc. Don't be afraid to be a little creative with it.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups brown rice, cooked
8 oz sirloin steak, sliced thin
2 T Soy sauce
1 T rice vinegar
1 t sesame oil
1 t sugar
1 t corn starch
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 T fresh ginger, minced
1 T chili paste
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 cup sugar snap peas, chopped
1 cup green onion, sliced
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 T soy sauce
1 T peanut butter
Directions
  1. Marinade the steak in the five ingredients that follow it for 15-20 minutes

  2. Put the broth, soy sauce and peanut butter in a small bowl and set aside. Don't worry about combining it as you will just put it in the pan later

  3. Heat a wok or large frying pan over medium high heat. Add meat and marinade, garlic, ginger and chili sauce. Brown meat for a couple of minutes.

  4. Add carrots and peas and cook for 1 minute. Add broth mixture and cook until sauce is incorporated and slightly thick.

  5. Stir in onions and serve immediately over rice.
