Thai Dipping Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c water
1/4 c white vinegar
1 T garlic, chopped
1/2 kosher salt
2 t red pepper flakes
Directions
mix all ingredients (except pepper flakes) in a saucepan over medium heat. once the sugar has desoved reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes until consitency maple syrup. off heat stir in pepper flakes and set aside.
