Myla's Mom's Green Pepper Steak

Makes 6 servings

Great flavor

Ingredients
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 clove garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp pepper
1 lbs Sirloin
3 green peppers, large cubed in 1” pieces
2 onions, large thinly sliced
8 oz water chestnuts
1/4 c soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 cup beef broth (Boullion)
1 tsp cornstarch
1/4 c water
2 scallions - sliced
Directions
  1. Saute garlic and ginger in 1 tbsp oil. Add sirloin after salting and peppering. Brown. Remove,

  2. Stir fry peppers and onions. Add water chestnuts.

  3. Mix together say sauce, sugar, beef broth. Mix together corstarch and water.

  4. Return meat to pan. Add sauce. Serve hot.

  5. Top with scallions
