| 1 | cup beans, snap |
| 1 | cup corn, sweet |
| 1 | cup lima beans |
| 12 | cups water |
| 1 | teaspoon salt |
| 1/4 | teaspoon pepper |
| 1/4 | teaspoon thyme |
| 1 | red pepper, hot |
- Put everything into a large soup pot
- Bring to a boil
- Reduce to a slow simmer
- Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes
- Taste and season
