Very low cholesterol French Toast
| 90 | g wholewheat bread |
| 3 | egg whites |
| 1/4 | g cinnamon |
| 4 | ml vanilla extract |
| 1 | apple |
- Mix the egg whites, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a bowl (beat it well enough to mix, but don't turn it into a meringue as it won't soak into the bread well)
- Push the sliced bread into the "batter" to ensure it soaks through.
- Fry on a medium heat for about 5 mins or until golden, turning ocasionally.
- Serve with your favorite fruit (I find a cold crunchy apple compiments the soft, warm bread)
- If you invest in the best quality non-stick frying pan you can afford, you won't need any oil or fat
