| 14 | oz lean, smoked turkey sausage, sliced (7927) |
| 1 | medium onion, chopped |
| 1 | medium green pepper, chopped |
| 1 | garlic clove, minced |
| 32 | ounces canned red kidney beans,undrained (16034) |
| 1/2 | tsp cayenne pepper |
| 1 | tbsp Worcestershire sauce |
| 2 | cup water |
| 1 | cup uncooked brown rice |
- In a large saucepan coated with cooking spray, sauté sausage for 5 minutes over medium-high heat. Add onion and green pepper and sauté another 5 minutes. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
- Stir in beans, pepper, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and water over medium-high heat.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 25 minutes.
- Add brown rice, cover, and simmer another 35 minutes.
