With bacon, ground turkey and ground beef
| 19 | oz kidney beans |
| 28 | oz diced tomatoes |
| 24 | oz pasta sauce |
| 1 | lb lean ground turkey |
| 1 | lb lean ground beef |
| 1/2 | lb bacon (drained of fat) |
| 2 | tbsp bbq sauce |
| 1 | onion |
| 2 | cups water |
- Brown turkey and beef.
- Add beans, onion, pasta sauce, tomatoes and ground meat to crock pot.
- Stir in seasonings to taste: chili powder, garlic, salt, pepper, hot sauce, dash of cinnamon, maple syrup, honey-garlic bbq sauce etc.
- Cook bacon until most fat has been rendered and can be poured off bacon. Add dry bacon to crock pot.
- Cook on low for 7 - 8 hours.
