My Chili Recipe

Makes 13 servings


With bacon, ground turkey and ground beef

Ingredients
19 oz kidney beans
28 oz diced tomatoes
24 oz pasta sauce
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb bacon (drained of fat)
2 tbsp bbq sauce
1 onion
2 cups water
Directions
  1. Brown turkey and beef.

  2. Add beans, onion, pasta sauce, tomatoes and ground meat to crock pot.

  3. Stir in seasonings to taste: chili powder, garlic, salt, pepper, hot sauce, dash of cinnamon, maple syrup, honey-garlic bbq sauce etc.

  4. Cook bacon until most fat has been rendered and can be poured off bacon. Add dry bacon to crock pot.

  5. Cook on low for 7 - 8 hours.
