Beef and Cabbage Joes Recipe

Makes 8 servings


This recipe makes 8 3/4 cup servings. Serve over toast or whole wheat bun.

Ingredients
1 pound extra lean beef
2 cups cabbage
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup red pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup celery
1 tablespoon mustard
Directions
  1. Saute beef, onion and celery in a frying pan.

  2. Drain off any excess fat.

  3. Add cabbage, peppers, ketchup, water, and mustard.

  4. Bring to a boil.

  5. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 25 minutes.
