This is ideal as an appetizer but it can also be used for a main course. Yields 24 meatballs.
| 1 | pound ground turkey |
| 1 | egg, beaten |
| 1/2 | cup bread crumbs |
| 1/2 | onion, grated |
| 3/4 | tsp salt |
| 3/4 | tsp pepper |
| 1/2 | tsp oregano |
| 1 | c jellied cranberry sauce |
| 3/4 | c ketchup |
| 1/4 | c brown sugar |
| 2 | tsp lemon juice |
| 2 | cups pineapple |
- In a large bowl combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, and seasonings. Form into 1-inch balls.
- SAUCE: In a 3-quart saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over low heat 25-30 minutes. Stir often to keep smooth.
- Add meatballs and simmer for 1 hour. Serve hot.
- NOTE: This can be used for a main course by making the meatballs larger.
