| 300 | g tuna steak |
| 2 | tbsp olive oil |
| 1/2 | cup all purpose flour |
| 1 | tsp black pepper |
| 1 | tsp coriander powder |
| 1 | tsp red chili powder |
| 1/2 | tsp turmeric powder |
| 100 | g crushed tomatoes |
| 1/2 | cup water |
| 2 | tbsp cilantro |
| 2 | tsp salt |
| 1/2 | tsp cinnamon |
| 1 | tsp sugar |
| 1 | onion |
| 1 | tbsp garlic |
| 1 | tbsp ginger |
| 2 | tbsp lemon juice |
- Cut the tuna steak in bite size pieces.
- Mix the lemon juice with half of the turmeric powder and some salt. Roll the fish pieces in the spice mixture and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
- Coat the fish in the flour mixed with black pepper and fry the pieces in olive oil till golden brown.
- Remove on paper towels. Add some oil and heat it. Add the sugar in the pan and let it caramelize, then fry the onions, the garlic and the ginger.
- Add the spices and fry them for a while. then add the tomatoes and the water. Let it boil. Then put the fish back in the pan.
- Sprinkle with cilantro and serve.
