Multi Grain Scones Recipe

high fiber scones

Ingredients
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
4 tbsp canola oil
1/8 tsp lemon zest
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup bran
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
5 tbsp ground flax seed
2 tbsp poppy seed
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup 1% milk
1 medium apple
3 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp brown sugar
Directions
  1. combine egg, oil, white sugar and chopped apple.

  2. combine all dry ingredients except brown sugar.

  3. combine wet and dry ingred.

  4. bake 12 min at 375

  5. combine lemon juice and brown sugar and drizzle over top.
