Drop biscuits that are easy to make, and can be easily kicked into hot heat with some hot pepper sauce.
|
Ingredients
| 6 |
tbsp unsweetened apple sauce |
| 2 1/2 |
tsp baking powder |
| 1/4 |
tsp salt |
| 250 |
g Nutriflour |
| 2 |
tbsp fresh chives |
| 2/3 |
cup skim milk |
| 3/4 |
cup 1% cottage cheese |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Line baking sheet with foil. Grease foil (I used Pam and spread around with paper towel piece)
- In medium bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt. Using a pastry blender cut in applesauce (or butter - but then you add calories) until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In small bowl combine cottage cheese, milk, chives, and hot peppers if desired. (Chili won't alter the calory info.)
- Using a fork stir just until moistened.
- Drop dough by generous tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet.
- Bake for approx 15-18 mins or until golden.
- Remove from oven. Best served warm - else cool on rack.
