| 1/3 | cup olive oil |
| 1 | tbsp sugar |
| 1 2/3 | c all purpose flour |
| 2 | tsp baking powder |
| 1 1/2 | tsp salt |
| 1/4 | tsp cream of tartar |
| 1 | c lowfat buttermilk |
| 1/2 | tsp baking soda |
- Directions
- -Combine baking soda and buttermilk, stir and let stand for 5 min
- -Sift dry ingrediants together
- -Add Wet ingrediants
- -Combine
- -Roll onto floured surface
- -Cut into 6 equal size biscuits
- -Using a cast iron skillet, place bisuits just touching in the center
- -Using your thumb, gently press down on the top of the biscuits to make a small indentation
- -Bake at 475 for 10 minutes
