Mexican Beef & Beans Recipe

Makes 10 servings


An easy mix of protein and flavor.

Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground beef
15 1/2 oz red beans, drained
1 cup white onion, chopped
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 salt
1 pepper
Directions
  1. Brown ground beef, reserve grease and set beef aside.

  2. Using grease from beef, sautee onions.

  3. Return beef to onions and add cilantro and garlic, cooking until cilanrto has wilted.

  4. Add beans, cooking until heated through.

  5. Salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve with cheddar cheese on top. Add a tbsp of sour cream and serve with a warm flour tortilla.
