Mashed potatoes in a great meat shell
|
Ingredients
| 1 |
pound ground sirloin |
| 1 |
can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup, divided |
| 1 |
large egg |
| 1/4 |
cup dry bread crumbs |
| 1/4 |
tsp salt |
| 2 |
cups mashed potatoes |
| 20 |
g (4 strips) bacon cooked and crumbled |
| 1/2 |
cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions
- Mix beef, 1/2 cup soup, egg, bread crumbs, salt in big bowl. Add other seasoning if desired (onion, parsley, etc).
- Press meat mixture into pie plate, covering sides, also.
- Bake shell at 350 for 25 minutes.
- Drain moisture from shell.
- Combine potatoes, remaining soup, and cheese.
- Spread potato mix over meat shell.
- Sprinkle bacon over potatoes.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
- Let stand for a few minutes.
