Stuffed Green Peppers
| 5 | green bell peppers |
| 1 | medium onion |
| 1 | cup uncooked rice |
| 14 1/2 | oz diced tomatoes |
| 8 | oz tomato sauce |
| 16 | oz ground lean turkey |
- cook rice according to instructions on package.
- cut out seeds of peppers but leave pepper intact like a cup.
- boil peppers in hot water for 5 minutes.
- brown turkey and onions in a skillet.
- add spices to taste (salt, pepper, oregano, garlic, worchestire sauce).
- add rice to meat mixture along with diced tomatoes.
- arrange peppers in oven safe pan.
- fill peppers with mixture.
- pour tomato sauce evenly over peppers.
- bake for 25 min at 350 degrees.
